Literacy Rotation Weekly Schedule:
Monday- Students participate in a mini lesson using an anchor text, anchor charts, graphic organizers and their reader’s response journals of common core standards.
**Monday is library day.
Students participate in small groups on days Tuesday through Friday:
Tuesday- The students visit 4 stations, two of which are independent reading with a purpose, one station is word study using the program Words Their Way and the last station is guided reading using materials on the instructional level of students.
Wednesday- The students visit 4 stations, one of which is independent reading with a purpose, another station is online interactive learning time using literature websites that have been preselected by teacher based on skill, one station is word study using the program Words Their Way and the last station is guided reading using materials on the instructional level of students.
Thursday- The students visit 4 stations, two of which are independent reading with a purpose, one station is word study using the program Words Their Way and the last station is guided reading using materials on the instructional level of students.
Friday- The students visit 4 stations, two of which are independent reading with a purpose, one station is online interactive learning time using literature websites that have been preselected by teacher based on skill and the last station is guided reading using materials on the instructional level of students.
